ROM Title Twinning Logo

We took part in the 2016 Riding of the Marches festival week, from 24th - 31st July.

Our display of Twinning photos and other memorabilia was part of the 'Musselburgh Life' Exhibition in the Burgh Primary School. It had a steady flow of visitors.
A huge number of people from the 1961 group photo, of the first-ever school exchange visit, passed through!

Two representatives from Champigny Town Council and five members of Champigny Twinning Committtee spent most of the week with us.
Here are Christian and Evelyne, from Champigny, at the Civic Ball:

A highlight of our week was an international pétanque (French bowling) match between Musselburgh and Champigny at our newly-restored pitch in Lewisvale Park.
East Lothian Council had kindly donated a trophy.
It was a keenly-fought contest...
but in the end Champigny won. Here they are receiving the trophy from Honorary Provost Cllr John Caldwell.

We are looking forward to winning it back soon!
